‘Equal‘ is one of my self-portraits, part of my ongoing project entitled ‘liminality,’ exploring how I relate to the world, my identity in the bigger picture and my place in the future.
Through the lens of my own experiences, I seek to illustrate the universal journey toward a more inclusive, empathetic, and enlightened future.
By capturing the essence of who I am today, I explore a future where self-awareness is celebrated as catalysts for positive change.

EQUAL
True equality between individuals is a myth.
In the vast mosaic of humanity, every piece is different.
Yet our hearts long for equal treatment, no matter who we are, what we look like, or what ails us.
No one is more than another. Ever. We are all equal.
As we navigate through life, we often, unconsciously, make superficial judgments.
We draw conclusions and act based on assumptions, causing us to treat others unfairly.
It’s a challenging paradox: our innate differences contrast with our deep desire for equality, respect, and dignity.
No one is the same, but we are equal.
Our challenge is to look beyond appearances.
Do not judge a book by its cover. Don’t assume.
Recognize and acknowledge the unique story in each person.
Diversity as a common thread in our shared humanity, with the pursuit of equality in the way we interact with each other.
Then we can truly honor the value of each individual. Equality.
