For all nature lovers who are concerned about the role of humans in the survival of nature. Nature strikes back.
I took this photo in the Natural Park of Teno, Tenerife, Spain, and got a huge grin when I saw the middle finger gesture of this rock. (At least, that’s what I see in it.)
This piece is part of the collection ‘Nature is Golden’. Prints are only for sale at Saatchi Art (fine art paper, plexiglass, canvas, various sizes). Go to Saatchi.
The collection ‘Nature is Golden’ consists of photos I have taken across the world, enhanced with golden digital oil paint. I discovered that applying gold accentuates even the smallest details, revealing intricate features often unnoticed by the naked eye.
This series pays homage to nature, which holds profound meaning for me. Being outdoors, immersed in nature, grounds me. It lifts me above daily realities. It feels as though nature is tailor-made for me: protecting, embracing, carrying, and supporting me. Nature feels vast and purposeful, and I am a part of it. I am connected. Nature consoles me. In nature, all my senses awaken, and my mind engages. The grandeur of nature, its awe-inspiring presence, makes me feel small yet imbues my existence with meaning. (Besides this rock, the animals I have photographed in this collection make me grin. I love those magnificent beings.)
Nature lives. It is alive. It is life.
