About the Eternal Wonderful World
Inspired by Louis Armstrong’s song, I created this Wonderful World as a reminder that no matter how tough life gets, there’s always a wonderful world to be found, somewhere.
Limited editions of this work are signed and numbered and include a certificate of authenticity. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Fine Art paper 308 g/m2 with a 1 cm white border (outer dimensions W82 x 62 cm).
This artwork is born from the fusion of a detailed photograph I took of a 17th-century painted ceiling in Guimarães, Portugal. I combined a cutout of the historic ceiling with modern strokes of digital paint, blending the past with the present to create something new and full of life.
To echo Jewel Akens’ song The Birds and the Bees—“Let me tell you about the birds and the bees, and the flowers and the trees” – I added painted colors and more nature to the present bird and flowers. Nature not only inspires but also embraces us, reminding us that it will endure and conquer all.
Just like Akens’ song speaks of love, this artwork embodies that same sentiment. I hope it brings you a sense of being loved and protected. For me, this fusion of old and new whispers stories of a bygone era while offering comfort and reassurance, a promise of love and security. It radiates a timeless message: everything is okay, or soon will be. Even in difficult times, a wonderful world is always there, waiting to be seen.
It’s a Eternal Wonderful World. A world of timelessness, wonder and beauty persists forever, no matter the circumstances. This piece is a tribute to art’s ability to create a space of love and awe—a place where we can return again and again, embraced by the beauty of both the past and the present.
