Perfectly Balanced, Thank You is a handmade sculptural creature created from reclaimed paper, acrylic paint and glass.
Firmly planted on two oversized feet, this curious creature seems entirely comfortable with its own presence. Its richly decorated exterior, extravagant hat and two watchful yellow eyes (Look at me looking at you) suggest confidence, curiosity and perhaps just a touch of vanity. Yet beneath all that visual noise lies something surprisingly calm. A quiet kind of loud.
Made from reclaimed paper and glass, the sculpture plays with contrasts: loud and quiet, grounded and alert, serious and slightly absurd. It explores the possibility of being fully present without having to prove anything (All dressed up, nowhere to prove); standing your ground, observing the world, enjoying how you look while doing it, and not taking yourself too seriously.
