These self-portraits by Daphne Depassé are part of the ongoing project ‘liminality‘. Through photography, digital painting and drawing, the works explore identity, perspective, inclusion and the shifting relationship between the self and the world around us.
Through the lens of my own experiences, I seek to illustrate the universal journey toward a more inclusive, empathetic, and enlightened future. By capturing the essence of who I am today, I explore a future where self-awareness is celebrated as catalysts for positive change.
In my imaginary fluid space of today, everything is allowed, resulting in fusions of photography and digital painting and drawing. No boxes. Herewith, I want to embody the enrichment and liberation of expressing yourself without limitations, with artistic freedom, experiment, diverse expression and reflection.
