The making
I rarely know exactly where a piece will take me. This bird evolved through intuition, experimentation, and countless small decisions. I sculpted the head and body from hundreds of paper cut-outs, while each feather was hand-cut from paper painted with acrylic on both sides. Working with hot glue, paint, and balance, I gradually discovered not just the form of the bird, but its personality.
